|Yes, it is possible to visit Jane Slade’s grave in the churchyard at Lanteglos, and the writing is quite clear. Inside the church is a reference that directs you to individual graves. You will find Jane’s grave on that list, and it should not be too difficult to find. It is approximately to your left as you go into the church, but the directions inside the church will make that clearer. The gravestone includes the words Christopher Slade and also of Jane Symons, his wife, so it doesn’t actually say Jane Slade, but it is her grave. There is a photograph of the gravestone on the Daphne du Maurier website. To find it go to our home page, click on Photo Albums, then click on Jo Wing’s Pictures. The photograph of the grave is the first picture on the fourth row (the 17th picture). I hope this helps. Ann (on behalf of the Daphne du Maurier website).
