'Foreign Correspondent' Hi. I asked this question on the old forum but never got a response. I believe Alfred Hitchcock's 'Foreign Correspondent' was based on a Daphne du Maurier story, but I've never been able to find it anywhere. Does anybody know if it was published under a different title or included in an anthology or something? I'd like to read the original. Thanks.	Mon 04/07/16 11:17 PM

There is quite a lot written about Alfred Hitchcock in connection to Daphne du Maurier and her writing, mainly linked to Jamaica Inn, Rebecca and The Birds all of which, it is widely known, where made into films by Hitchcock. I have never come across anything that suggests a link between the film Foreign Correspondent and Daphne du Maurier, other than the fact that it was the second film Hitchcock made following his move to the US, the first being Rebecca. Collin Langley has put two pieces on to the Forum with his suggestions, which he sensibly bases on looking at Daphne's works up to the date of the film, but has not found a link. It does not look as if there is a connection between a Daphne du Maurier story and the film Foreign Correspondent but, of course, if anyone out there knows different we would be very happy to hear from you.
