House of Dreams Artworks Exhibition at The Old Bank, Fowey, during the du Maurier Fowey Literary Festival

An example of Louisa Albani's beautiful artwork for the House of Dreams

The beautiful artwork from Night Bird Press, created by Louisa Albani for her House of Dreams pamphlet, will be on display in the vault at The Old Bank in Fowey during the du Maurier Fowey Literary Festival from 1st to 9th May 2026.

The Old Bank is an art gallery and relaxed creative space with a coffee shop and licensed bar, located where Barclays Bank used to be.

To produce the House of Dreams pamphlet, Louisa used Daphne du Maurier’s essay, The House of Secrets, from her memoir, The Rebecca Notebook and Other Memories (Virago 2005) as her starting point.  She created a beautiful pamphlet containing some of her wonderful artwork and text written by herself and Maggie Humm.

Now is your opportunity to see the original artwork for yourselves.
