Today begins with Where Politics Meets History, a live podcast recording with Iain Dale and Tessa Dunlop, at 11am in Fowey Town Hall.
Rachel Lambert
At the same time, setting off at 11.15am from Readymoney Beach, is Rachel Lambert’s Meet the Waves: Seaweed Foraging Walk. Later, at 1.45pm Rachel leads a second foraging walk, which sets out from the Royal Fowey Yacht Club and is called How to Forage Hedgerows.
Friends of Fowey Festival are invited to Meet the Festival Team, at 12.30pm in Fowey Town Hall.
Ella Westland, Malcolm Gould and Luke Thompson
The afternoon begins in Fowey Town Hall at 2pm, with Excavations: Writers and the Clay Country. Malcolm Gould, Ella Westland and Luke Thompson will talk about the creative process and the connections between writing and the land.
Serena Trowbridge
At 4pm, in Fowey Town Hall, Serena Trowbridge returns to Fowey Festival. Today she presents her talk, Frankenstein and its Legacies.
Alan Johnson
At 6pm in Fowey Town Hall Alan Johnson returns to the festival to talk about his new book, about one of our most memorable 20th century political figures and Prime Minister on two occasions, Harold Wilson.
Alison Weir
The last event today takes place in Fowey Parish Church at 8pm. Alison Weir presents a talk about her new book The Cardinal: The Secret Life of Thomas Wolsey.
