University of Exeter Special Collections Archive – significant new acquisitions from the Maureen Baker-Munton Auction

Annie Price with items from the collection

An archive of material relating to the life and work of Daphne du Maurier, held by Daphne’s friend and confidant Maureen Baker-Munton until her death, went up for auction in 2019.  Some exceedingly significant lots were obtained by the Special Collections Archive at the University of Exeter, including manuscripts, documents, letters, photographs, and a wide assortment of ephemera.

Since the auction, Annie Price, an archivist working in the Special Collections Archive at the University of Exeter, has been working on the new acquisitions, cataloguing, and recording all the items.  The catalogue of the collection is now available online, and it is possible to go to the University to use the document for research purposes.
