Viewing the new Netflix adaptation of Rebecca on Wednesday 21st October
The Daphne du Maurier Society of North America have come up with the lovely idea about watching the new Netflix adaptation of Rebecca. Because their members live throughout North America and in England, not everyone will be able to attend the watch party in Dallas. So, their idea is that followers of Daphne du Maurier might like to host a viewing in their area. The Daphne du Maurier Society of North America will be happy to send an email invitation to the membership.
This sounds like a great idea, but we must include a note of caution here. In the UK, there are various pieces of legislation which have recently come into place. For example, currently, groups of no more than six people can get together, and in some areas meeting in each other’s houses is not permitted at present. You will know what the current regulations are in your area, and we don’t want to encourage anyone to break those, but, if you can join up with friends to watch Rebecca, that would be a lot of fun.
