Fisherman’s Friends perform at Fowey Festival fundraiser

The hugely popular Fisherman’s Friends from Port Isaac in Cornwall, well known for singing traditional songs of the sea, received a heartfelt welcome when they appeared at St Fimbarrus church in Fowey last Saturday.

The concert was a fundraising event for Fowey Festival and was a complete sell out.  St Fimbarrus church was packed with locals and followers of both the Fisherman’s Friends and Fowey Festival, some of whom had travelled many miles to join us on this special evening.  A great time was had by all and we hope that the Fisherman’s Friends will return next year and perform at the main Festival.
