Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 
Queen Elizabeth, our longest serving and most dearly beloved Monarch,
died peacefully at Balmoral Castle this afternoon, 8th September
2022. Everyone will have their own
thoughts on her importance to our country, the Commonwealth, and the wider
world, throughout her long reign. Her
sense of duty, her selflessness, her wealth of experience, and her stoicism in
times of crisis are just a few phrases that spring to mind as we think about
her. She was loved and admired throughout
the world and was the best face of the United Kingdom. Here at the Daphne du Maurier website, we
have no more words today; simply a desire to share this sad moment and our
immense regard for our dear Queen with you all.
