A Day by Day look at the events taking place at Fowey Festival Saturday 14th May

Saturday 14th May, and the last day of the Fowey Festival.  Where did the time go?  This week has flown by in an exciting mix of events.  We hope everyone has enjoyed themselves so far and will enjoy the last day just as much.

                                                    Lauren Child                                                                       Jane Newberry

Saturday morning begins with a talk by Lauren Child about her latest Clarence Bean book – Scram.  Immediately following Lauren’s event will be the presentations for the Young Writers and Artists competition winners.  Next, Jane Newberry joins us again for a super event when she will be entertaining us with The Big Green Crocodile in an exciting and interactive rhyme session, especially for our youngest festival-goers.

                                                         Raynor Winn                                                                                           Michael Morpurgo

At lunchtime, Nina Leonard Savicevic brings us an amazing piano recital.  Next, we welcome Raynor Winn, author of The Salt Path and The Wild Silence, in the early afternoon.  She will also be announcing the winners of the Adult Story Competition.  Then we welcome back Michael Morpurgo, who will talk to us about his latest book, There Once Was A Queen.  Finally, the festival ends with a super evening event – A Night at the Musicals.
