Night Bird Press publishes its pamphlet, House of Dreams: Daphne du Maurier’s Menabilly

We introduced you to Louisa Amelia Albani and Night Bird Press in January, when we explained that Louisa is an artist and the founder and owner of Night Bird Press. She produces beautiful pamphlets and amazing artwork inspired by literary figures, including the Brontë sisters, Mary Shelley, Virginia Woolf and others.
Over the last few months, she has been working on a pamphlet about Daphne du Maurier, which was published on 7th February. It is now readily available to buy direct from Night Bird Press and from a selection of stockists in London and across the UK, including Hatchards Piccadilly, the Brontë Parsonage Museum, and the Edge of the World Bookshop, Penzance, Cornwall. You can find a list of stockists and lots more information on the Night Bird Press website: https://www.nightbirdpress.com.
The pamphlet that Louisa has created about Daphne du Maurier is called House of Dreams: Daphne du Maurier’s Menabilly. Using Daphne du Maurier’s essay, The House of Secrets, from her memoir, The Rebecca Notebook and Other Memories (Virago 2005), as her starting point, Louisa has created a beautiful pamphlet containing some of her wonderful artwork and text written by herself and Maggie Humm. All of you who love Daphne du Maurier’s work or collect her books and associated ephemera will want to own a copy of this pamphlet, which costs £13.50 plus p&p.

As an extra treat, Louisa has created a beautiful greeting card titled Rododendrons at Menabilly, featuring an illustration of Menabilly with Daphne looking towards the house and rhododendrons in flower in the foreground. Huge rhododendrons obscured the view of Menabilly when Daphne discovered the house in 1927.
The greeting cards come in a pack of 5 x A6 cards, printed on 330 gsm Tintoretto Gesso Meet finest Italian paper, with matching envelopes.
Each pack of 5 cards costs £10.00 plus p&p.

We are sure you will love these beautiful literary gems and want to return to the website to order more pamphlets and artworks by the authors Louisa has been inspired to include in her collection.
