In May of last year, we told you about a fascinating book called Fought Like a Lion: The Life of an East End Soldier by Paul Blumsom. It is the life story of William Charles Blumsom, the author's Grandfather, who, for part of his military career, served in the Royal Fusiliers under the command of Guy du Maurier. While the book provides a fascinating look at William's military life, it also presents a wealth of information about Guy du Maurier. Today, we bring you an article about the launch of Fought Like a Lion, which took place at the Fusilier Museum in the Tower of London in November 2025.
