After Midnight: A Special Evening Celebrating the Genius of Daphne du Maurier – 1st October, 7pm

After Midnight Regent Street Cinema event

A reminder that on Wednesday 1st October, to celebrate the publication of After Midnight, Virago Press and the Regent Street Cinema are presenting a celebratory event in honour of Daphne du Maurier.  The event takes place at the Regent Street Cinema, London, at 7pm.

The evening will open with a live panel discussion of du Maurier's gothic, uncanny imagination with award-winning writer Kit de Waal (My Name is Leon), Sunday Times bestseller Alice Slater (Death of a Bookseller) and acclaimed screenwriters and producers Anna Waterhouse and Joe Shrapnel (Rebecca/Netflix), chaired by broadcaster and journalist Bidisha.  The panel will be followed by a screening of Nicolas Roeg's acclaimed adaptation of one of du Maurier's greatest short stories, Don't Look Now (1973).
