Julianne Moore's Favourite Thriller is Daphne du Maurier's Don't Look Now
This week, Julianne Moore was interviewed for the UK's television and radio guide, the Radio Times. This was in relation to her forthcoming role in the new Apple TV+ thriller Echo Valley, in which she plays the part of Kate.
In the interview, Julianne was asked if she has a favourite thriller, and this was her reply:
Yes, 'Don't Look Now', which is wonderfully human and complicated and maybe the scariest thing I've ever seen in my life. Interestingly, it's also about a domestic situation and a tragedy – and it's also a love story.
The film Don't Look Now is, of course, based on the novella of the same name by Daphne du Maurier.
We love it when a celebrity recognises the power of Daphne's writing and mentions it in an interview.
