Last Night I Dreamt of Manderley, an art exhibition curated by Daniel Malarkey, is currently taking place at Alison Jacques Art Gallery, 22 Cork Street, London W1S 3NG. The exhibition runs from 24th January until 8th March 2025.
The exhibition brings together more than thirty artists from different generations and locations. It aims to retell the story of Daphne du Maurier’s most famous novel, Rebecca, taking gallery visitors on a journey that explores notions of memory, darkness and transformation, experiencing the potential of storytelling.
An ambiguous narrative of the exhibition is split into four sections – The Dream, The Grand Staircase, The Underworld and The Ancient Wood. These sections broadly reflect the spiritual journey of the protagonist in Rebecca, from which the exhibition title is taken.
The Gallery’s opening hours are:
Tuesday – Friday: 10:30am – 6pm
Saturday: 11am – 6pm
