Here at the Daphne du Maurier website, we are absolutely delighted to be able to share with you the link to a YouTube video of Daphne du Maurier’s granddaughter, Grace Browning, talking at the Celebration of Daphne du Maurier and the launch of Daphne's new book After Midnight, which took place at 92nd Street Y, New York on the evening of Wednesday 15th October 2025.
The 92nd Street Y, New York, is a world-class cultural and community centre, where people all over the world connect through culture, arts, entertainment and conversation.
The event to celebrate Daphne du Maurier included a panel discussion with National Book Award Winner Joyce Carol Oates, The New York Times Book Review’s Sadie Stein and The New Yorker’s Rachel Syme.
Grace spoke about Daphne du Maurier’s short stories, which are less well known than her novels, but provide an amazing insight into her work.
