The Arthur Quiller-Couch website an informative new resource

Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch in his later years

David Fryer, a vital member of the Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch Memorial Fund (the Q Fund) Committee, has asked us to tell you about an excellent and relatively new website dedicated to the life and works of Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch.

The website, simply called Arthur Quiller-Couch, has principally been created by Andrew Symons, with the support of others.  Andrew has been studying the life and works of Arthur Quiller-Couch for many years, and this site is the result of his enthusiasm and scholarship.  The idea began in 2005 when Andrew gave a talk at an evening organised by the Q Fund. There he was introduced to Dr Gerry Hones, a fellow admirer of Q, and they began a collaboration with the intention of publishing a book of original academic studies. After Dr Hones died, Andrew Symons decided to develop the material into this website.

The site provides a great deal of information about Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch, much of it published for the first time.  As the website develops, new information and articles are being added. In addition, it is hoped that experts on Q and people studying him, will contribute their own original research.
