A Reminder that the du Maurier Fowey Literary Festival is holding two great events in Fowey this Friday, 5th December
We want to remind you that the du Maurier Fowey Literary Festival is putting on two great events this Friday, 5th December. There are still a few tickets left, so hurry if you would like to be part of this special evening.

Ian McCarthy
At 5pm (doors open at 4.30pm), in Fowey Town Hall, Emmy and BAFTA award-winning wildlife cameraman Ian McCarthy presents his compelling talk, Afghanistan & The Twin Towers: A Journey Through Two Life-Changing Expeditions.
This is a gripping, personal story of adventure, danger, and humanity at the edge of history, told through powerful images and readings from Ian's upcoming memoir, A Thousand Wild Dawns.
Don't miss this rare insight into two journeys that changed a life and the world.

Richard Sisson and Petroc Trelawny
Then, at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm), join the du Maurier Fowey Literary Festival for a special, pre-Christmas Festival evening full of music, brain teasers, quizzes, and conversation with BBC Radio 3's Petroc Trelawny, author and quizmaster extraordinaire!
Joining Petroc will be Richard Sisson, formally 'Widow' of Kit and the Widow, and renowned musician and score writer of Alan Bennett's play, The History Boys.
Come with a friend, in a small group (max 6), or join in solo! There will be a Festival bar and a Christmas raffle, and Petroc will be signing copies of his latest books.
It's going to be a fun night.
