The du Maurier Fowey Literary Festival Secret Gardens 2026 takes place next week, on Monday, 25th, and Tuesday, 26th May
A reminder that this year, the opportunity to visit the du Maurier Fowey Literary Festival's Secret Gardens will take place during the May Bank Holiday weekend, on Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th May 2026. This is a little later than usual and gives you the chance to see how beautiful the early-summer gardens will look and what a fine array of flowers will be blooming then.
This year, the Secret Gardens is a ticketed event, with tickets available at the du Maurier Fowey Literary Festival website. The cost is £7.00 for a two-day open ticket that allows you to visit all the gardens on either or both days. There is no charge for tickets for children aged 12 years and under. Six gardens will be open, and you can download the Secret Gardens map and gardens information at the du Maurier Fowey Literary Festival website, here: https://www.foweyfestival.com/secret-gardens/. Some of you may already have the information, as leaflets were available at various locations during the Festival.
Discover some of the best of Fowey's private gardens and enjoy a book stall, live opera, summer jazz, refreshments, beautiful gardens, and fantastic views.
The gardens will be open from 10am to 5pm on both days.
All funds raised through Secret Gardens support The du Maurier Festival Society (Reg Charity no. 1143916), which stages The du Maurier Fowey Literary Festival.
