There is much excitement mounting as the day of the publication of Daphne du Maurier’s new book, After Midnight, gets nearer.

To celebrate the publication of After Midnight, Virago Press and the Regent Street Cinema are delighted to present a special screening of Don’t Look Now and a panel discussion, celebrating the brilliance of Daphne du Maurier.
This fabulous event takes place at the Regent Street Cinema, London, on Wednesday, 1st October at 7pm.
Do come along and join members of Daphne du Maurier’s family, the workforce from Virago Press, who have brought about the publication of this wonderful book, and others closely associated with Daphne du Maurier.
After Midnight brings together the thirteen scariest Daphne du Maurier short stories into one volume, including Don’t Look Now, The Birds, The Blue Lenses, The AppleTree, Monte Verità and many more. This beautiful hardback book is the first new publication of Daphne’s work since The Doll: Short Stories was published in 2011, and is going to be the must-have book of the year for everyone who loves her work. The book opens with After Midnight: An Appreciation, a superb introduction written by ‘the King of Horror’ himself, Stephen King.
