Nicholas Roeg's brilliant film of Don't Look Now returns to cinemas

Nicholas Roeg’s film Don’t Look Now is based on the short story of the same name by Daphne du Maurier.  The film, originally released in 1973 and starring Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland as Laura and John Baxter, is regarded as one of the best British films ever made.  It tells the story of a married couple grieving the recent death of their young daughter who travel to Venice, where they meet two elderly sisters, one of whom is psychic and brings a warning from beyond.

Studiocanal has announced that the first ever 4k, Ultra High Definition restoration of this iconic thriller will open in UK cinemas on July 5. This version of the film will also be released on DVD and Blu-Ray and in a new collector’s edition on July 29, which will include previously unseen extras material and newly commissioned artwork by illustrator Jeremy Enecio
