Sarah Perry interview in The Independent: The Importance of du Maurier
Sarah Perry, who wrote the new introduction to the 80th anniversary edition of Du Maurier's Rebecca, was interviewed in The Independent yesterday. Discussing her forthcoming novel 'Melmoth', Perry mentions the influence of du Maurier on her own work: 'Rebecca was very instrumental in my understanding of what a novel could achieve.'
